A cool idea for a funny meme just popped into your head and you want to turn it into reality. Just launch iMeme and this incredibly easy to use software application will help you quickly create a meme. You can then take the generated meme, a JPEG image, and post it anywhere you want – on Facebook, on 9GAG, anywhere you want.

Michael Fogleman, a Senior Software Engineer at TransLōc, is the one who came up with the iMeme software application. He developed an iMeme version for Microsoft’s Windows operating system and an iMeme version for Apple’ Mac OS X. Getting iMeme up and running on a PC or a Mac is a very straightforward matter.

iMeme’s interface is divided into three panels. A list of memes is presented on the left hand side. Select an item from the list and an image will be displayed in the upper right hand corner. Down in the lower right hand corner there’s a section that you can use to enter text, enlarge/shrink the text, align the test to the left, center it, or align it to the right.

Using iMeme is an incredibly simple matter: launch the application, pick a meme, enter the text you want, then save your work as a JPEG image. Or you could open one of your images, enter the text you want, and then save your work as a JPEG image. Even the greenest of novices will find iMeme very easy to use.

iMeme is open source software. You can use it for free for as long as you want.

Thanks to iMeme, it is incredibly easy to create memes.

Pros

iMeme is available for Windows and Mac OS X (XP or newer, OS X 10.5 Leopard or newer). iMeme has a simple interface. From said interface you can access more than 100 memes. Select a meme, add the text you want, save it all as a JPEG file. You can also open one of your images and add text to it. iMeme is open source software.

Cons

None that I could think of.
